Christopher Hallowell, age 37, was arrested by Izard County authorities after officers were called to a home for a report of a physical altercation.
Reports say that Hallowell allegedly ripped a necklace off a woman and bags out of her hands before swinging a golf club at her missing and hitting the floor.
Officers reported scrapes, abrasions, and bruising on the victim’s forearm.
Hallowell then refused to submit to arrest and to comply with lawful orders.
He was taken into custody without injury.
Hallowell is charged with third-degree domestic battering and a misdemeanor count of refusal to submit to arrest.
He is being held in the Izard County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
