The Arkansas Department of Corrections stated that an inmate has escaped from the East Arkansas Regional Unit in Brickeys on Friday morning. The inmate is 38-year-old Samuel Hartman and he is a white man standing 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 230 pounds. Hartman has tattoos of a rose, heart, sword, “Forever & Always” and “Sam -N-Christine,” according to ADC officials. He was convicted of rape in Franklin County around 10 years ago. His last known address before he went to prison was at an address south of Magazine.

Be on the lookout for a white 2021 Chevy Trailboss, 4 doors with black rims that may be bearing Arkansas license plate number 398 ZVY or none at all. This vehicle may be connected to the escape of East Arkansas Regional Unit inmate Samuel Hartman. Hartman is armed and dangerous. If you come into contact with Hartman do not approach him and call 911.
