Mary Louise Goodman, 84, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021, while at Flo and Phil Jones hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on Thursday, March 4, 1937, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Charlie and Nina Henson.

Mary enjoyed doing many things throughout her life. She mostly enjoyed riding around looking at scenery, embroidery, listening to people play music and sing, doing word searches. But most importantly she loved her family. She was a member of the Gravsville Community Church and attended there for several years. She worked in manufacturing until her retirement. She always loved visiting and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie, and Nina Henson; three husbands, Waymon Allen (2000), Darrell Jones (2010), and Floyd Goodman (2018); one son, Carl Waymon Allen; one infant daughter; three brothers, Frank Henson, Charles Henson, and Clifford Henson; three sisters, Margaret Henson, Sharon Henson, and Shirley Henson; two grandchildren, Baby Otis, and Baby Rosa; and one great grandchild, Blake McMullin.

She is survived by one son, Frank Allen of LeSalle, Illinois; five daughters, Judy McQuay of Pocahontas, Lillie King and husband Scott of Doniphan, Missouri, Nancy Webb of Pocahontas, Rose Barnett of Russellville, Arkansas, and Nina Allen and Lester Jones; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren; along with many numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home with Carl Massey officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 1:00 until service time. Burial will be in the Ingram Cemetery in Maynard. 

Those honored to carry Mary to her final resting place are Lester Jones, Roger Vandergriff, Vance Penn, Blake Lee, Gary Thompson, Justin McQuay, and Eugene Matthews. Honorary Pallbearer is Glen Webb.

All services are under the direction of Hope Gardens Funeral Home in, Pocahontas, Arkansas.
