Judie Carol Hackworth, 70, of Sedalia, MO, passed away June 26, 2021, at her home in Sedalia, MO.

Judie was born October 29, 1950, in Booneville, Mississippi to the late James and Jet Caldwell. She was a graduate of Sloan Hendrix in 1968. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University; her Master’s from the University of Central Oklahoma and was a doctoral candidate from Texas Woman’s University. 

Judie was a retired master educator who taught specialized reading in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Connecticut at the elementary and high school. She became a teacher leader at college level for the University of Central Oklahoma and the Texas Women’s University and the University of Connecticut. She was an educator for over thirty-two years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jet Caldwell. 

Judie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Hackworth of the home; daughter Heather (Wayne) Hansen of Oklahoma City; son Ryan (Amber) of Lee Summit, MO; grandchildren Tate, Hope, Emalyn, Jett, Layla, Lynnlee, Violet, Annie, Jude, Daphne, Asa and Leland; two sisters Kay Justus of Carrollton, Texas and Ann Stovall of Sedalia, Missouri and a brother Gary Caldwell of Ravenden, AR. 

Memorial service is going to be Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel.
