An incident in Walnut Ridge that occurred on Saturday has landed a man in jail on multiple felony charges.

According to witnesses, Anthony Ryan Fowler, age 41 of Walnut Ridge was arrested by Walnut Ridge Police. Fowler allegedly brandished a weapon and not only threatened his mother but also shot another family members vehicle.

The incident happened in the 100 block of Hope Street just after 9am on Saturday. The victims (both family members) live next door to each other. Lawrence County Dispatch received several 911 calls from the residents, the suspect was said to be walking back and forth between the two residences with a large gun wearing a Halloween mask.

Inside one residence children were present, the home owner locked their doors as sirens could be heard approaching the scene. The mother of the suspect was able to take the gun from her son and he then retreated inside the residence.

Walnut Ridge Police, Lawrence County Deputies and Arkansas State Police all responded to the scene.

Anthony Ryan Fowler was arrested by Walnut Ridge Police and charged with:
Possession of a firearm by certain persons (felony)
Aggravated assault on a family member (felony)
Criminal mischief (felony)
Terroristic act (felony)

Fowler is a convicted felon with numerous violent charges and numerous alcohol related convictions.

Anthony Ryan Fowler is currently in the Lawrence County Detention Center.
