Charles Eugene “Buck” Sharp, 74, of Imboden passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Advanced Care Hospital of Searcy. 

He was born July 18, 1946 in Ravenden to the late Eugene and Pearl Clements Sharp. He was a Forest Ranger for the Arkansas Forestry Commission serving as the supervisor for Lawrence and Randolph Counties, and a member of WestRidge Church of Christ. 

Buck was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Peggy Jean Sharp and Patsy Ruth Buchanan. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Slayton Sharp; daughter, Peggy (Jim Bollinger) Sharp of Imboden; granddaughter, Addison Jean Bollinger of Imboden; nephews, Michael (Brenda) Buchanan of Liberty, MO, Ron Buchanan of Liberty, MO, and Jeff Mross of Harrisburg; brothers-in-law, Stan Slayton of Crosby, TX, and Carl Buchanan of Liberty, MO; sister-in-law, Betty Mross of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends. 

A drive through visitation will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 10 AM – 12 PM at WestRidge Church of Christ. Everyone is asked to enter from Ellis Road and exit from Hite Smith Road. Please remain in your vehicles at all times. 

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 1 PM at Friendship Cemetery near Ravenden with Wayne Herring officiating under direction of McNabb Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers include: Bill Powell, Ricky Benson, Jimmy Jones, Jerry Ray Foley, Larry Wilson, Davis Matthews, Millard Edington, and Robin Gosha. 

Honorary Pallbearers include: Dan Matthews, Larry Sexton, Joe Chappell, Denny Durham, Ronnie Manis, Bill Bailey, Jimmy Grissom, Burt Holder, Glenn Blackburn, and Orlando Lopez. 

Also serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Buck’s fellow Forest Rangers: Ray Toney, Bobby Lewis, Benny Banning, Troy Franks, Jack Haskins, Leonard Clements, Wayne Christenberry, Daniel King, Don Tate, and Terry Smith. 

To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
