Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General announced on Wednesday that Mountain View contractor featured on Home and Garden Television was ordered to pay fines and restitution totaling more than $240,000.

Scott Stewart, owner of Slabtown Customs, was ordered by a Pulaski County Court to pay $110,000 in penalties, $131,584.42 in restitution; and $515.30 in court costs.

Stewart failed to complete homes or refund payments according to court documents.

Stewart was accused of requiring large down payments and progress payments, some totaling 2/3 of the purchase without fulfilling the contract. According to the Attorney General once the completion dates passed the contractor would offer clients a refund but would fail to repay payments or provide clients with their completed homes.
