Carter Layne Gramling, age 18 of Pocahontas was arrested and charged with residential burglary, breaking an entering, theft of property, and criminal mischief 1st degree. On 4/25/2020 a call from a 88 year old woman stated that a window was broken out of her home while she was upstairs and money taken from her purse. Gramling and a 17 year old juvenile were seen in all black, walking the streets on 4/27/2020 When later questioned Gramling admitted to breaking into several vehicles and taking a bag of change from one, he also admitted to breaking into the home of the 88 year old victim and taking money. Circuit Judge Erwin set a $20,000.00 cash or surety bond. Mr. Gramling will have a June 24th Circuit court date in Randolph County.
