Around 11:30 am on Monday Sharp County E911 received a 911 call of a male laying beside the highway unresponsive along US-63 near the entrance to Ozark Acres. The caller stated the person was injured but unsure where he was or what happened to him.
1st Responders from the Ozark Acres Fire Department called for a medical helicopter which was landed near the scene. The victim described as a male in his early 40’s was airlifted by Survival Flight to St. Bernard’s in Jonesboro for treatment of his injuries.
Authorities believe the subject may have been struck by a vehicle. Sharp County authorities are investigating the incident.
