Traffic Slowed After Vehicle Fire In Black Rock

At 4:30pm in Christmas Day the Lawrence County Dispatch recurved a 911 call reporting a vehicle fire on Hwy 63 in Black Rock.

Black Rock responded to the fire described as fully involved.

The out of state driver said the late model BMW had recently been purchased and shortly before the fire a check engine light came on then they noticed smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle. The driver and two passengers escaped the vehicle without injury but the car was a total loss.

Traffic was reduced to one lane of traffic until the fire was extinguished. The vehicle was removed by Cook’s Wrecker Service of Walnut Ridge.
