Authorities in Lawrence County resumed a search for fugitive Jerrett Stanford on Monday. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, Arkansas State Police and a K-9 Team from Arkansas Department of Corrections began searching the area of Lawrence County 106 and 109 after what was described as a credible sighting in the area outside of Ravenden. Officers and K-9 handlers searched until late afternoon.

Phone pings on the suspects phone have been unsuccessful and his phone is believed to be dead at this point.

All indications led authorities to believe if Stanford is still in the area he’s more than likely attempting to get back to Sharp County.

Residents is the area are urged to call 911 if he is spotted. Remove keys from vehicles and secure all doors at their residence.

Stanford has a history of vehicle thefts and may be looking for a vehicle to use in his escape.

Authorities stepped up patrols in the area during the day and additional patrols during the overnight hours has been ordered by Sheriff Yates.
