At 6:29 am on Monday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting 2 vehicles that had both struck a cow on Hwy 63 north of Black Rock.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, AET Ambulance and Black Rock Fire were all dispatched to the scene. Sources said the cow was killed and one vehicle sustained heavy damage, no injuries to the drivers were reported.

The Arkansas Highway Department responded to the accident and removed the dead animal from the road.

The accidents are being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. The owner of the cow is not known at this time.
