Bundle up and join the park interpreter for an afternoon around the fire. S’more and hot chocolate making materials will be on hand while we talk about how people of Davidsonville’s time stayed warm and how we stay warm today. Dress for the weather and bring something to sit on.

Dutch Oven Thanksgiving Feast, November 12th, 11am-1pm

Pioneers relied heavily on Dutch ovens when they were traveling west to settle the frontier. Join the park interpreter and learn how to use and care for Dutch ovens as we cook up a Thanksgiving meal to enjoy featuring traditional and more unique holiday eats. This workshop is suitable for all levels of skill. Cooking and food preparation will be done outside, dress appropriately for the weather. Space is limited and early registration is required. Call the park to register by November 5th.
