Authorities have confirmed that the 8 year female found unresponsive in a bathtub by a parent last night in the Lynn area has died. Sources stated the female victim was flown to the White River Medical Center last night by Survival Flight, she was pronounced dead by the Independence County Coroner upon arrival.
The events began last night when a parent called 911 reporting the 8 year old being found unresponsive in the family’s bath tub. Lynn Fire Department and medical personnel did CPR on the child until a medical helicopter could arrive on scene.
Investigators from both the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police were called to the residence on Lawrence 310. The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time although the investigation is still ongoing.
