Three suspects were arrested late Sunday night by the Hoxie Police Department after their alleged involvement that sent one person to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Samuel Clem of Portia (formerly of Imboden) along with Jeremy Bennett of Alicia and Courtney Bennett of Alicia were all three arrested and charged with Battery 2nd Degree after the incident in Hoxie.
Hoxie Police were called to a residence in Hoxie where the alleged assault took place, Hoxie officers were assisted by officers from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation, a victim on the incident was transported to a local hospital. All three suspects were transported to the Hoxie Police Department for interviews, once the initial interviews were concluded the three were taken to the Lawrence County Jail and all charged with Battery 2nd Degree.
Samuel Clem, Jeremy Bennett and Courtney Bennett are all three in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting Bond Hearings and Court dates. The investigation is still ongoing, the name or condition of the victim has not been released at this time.
