Marcia Dye age 54 of Heber Springs identified as the Director of Nursing for Lawrence Hall in Walnut Ridge was found murdered in her home on Quitman Street in Heber Springs on Sunday according to reports. A neighbor checking on her pets discovered her body according to police reports. Heber Springs Police were notified and quickly requested the help of the Arkansas State Police in the investigation.
Authorities quickly developed a suspect identified as the victims 19 year old son, Cameron Dye. The suspect was charged with 1st degree murder and is currently being held in the Cleburne County Jail. Marcia Dyes body was sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for an autopsy. Authorities are not releasing many details at this time such as possible motive or cause of death.
