Spring Break Events at Davidsonville

Looking for something to do with the kids during Spring Break? Davidsonville Historic State Park is offering a variety of activities throughout the week. Feel free to contact the park for more details at 870-892-4708.

March 21, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Archeology Day

Come celebrate Arkansas Archeology Month at Davidsonville! There will be fun activities offered during the day and some of Davidsonville’s most interesting artifacts will also be on display for show and tell.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. Davidsonville artifacts on display-Ever wonder what an early 1800s toothbrush looked like?

10 a.m. Town Site Tour- See the new “Ghost Structures” and find out interesting facts about the town.

11 a.m. Mock digs-Learn what it takes to be an archeologist and discover what treasures you can find in the dig box.

12 p.m. Lunch break (bring your own)

12:30 p.m. Ice Cream Social-Enjoy free homemade ice cream and celebrate Davidsonville’s 200th anniversary!

1 p.m. Cemetery Walk-Visit the park’s two historic cemeteries and discover who lived in Davidsonville.

10-11:30 a.m. Bird Program/Hike, (Black River Trail)

2-2:30 p.m. Artifact show & tell

1-2 p.m. Town Site Tour

3-4 p.m. Sweet Treats, Dutch oven demo ($1 for samples)

6-7 p.m. Owl Prowl

March 28

1-2:30 p.m. Cemetery Hike

3-4 p.m. Crafts for the kids ($1 per craft)

8 p.m. Star Program (Bring your own chair)
