At the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve, elected officials were sworn in by Lawrence County Clerk Tina Stowers and newly elected Judge Adam Weeks.
Sheriff Jeff Yates along with his deputies, Quorum Court Members, County Judge Freeman, Mayors from across the county, Constables and numerous other elected officials gathered at the Lawrence County Courthouse to take their oath.
Once District Judge Adam Weeks was sworn in by Tina Stowers, Weeks then used his authority as the newly elected District Judge to then swear in the remaining elected officials.
