On Wednesday strong storms moved through Lawrence County. Several fallen trees were reported after strong winds accompanied heavy rain as it moved through.

Several fire departments across the county were sent out to clear roadways and check for downed power lines. The Walnut Ridge Fire Department was called to several areas in the city with reports of power outages and trees down. Lynn Fire Department was sent to Hwy 25 to remove a tree that had fallen across the highway, Black Rock Fire was called to a similar incident on Hwy 63. Saffell firefighters responded to live power lines down on a county road in their fire district as well.

The Hoxie Fire Department assisted the Alicia Fire Department out in the county, the structure was a total loss. Although the cause of the fire is still not determined, heavy lightning was reported in the area just before the fire.

Imboden Fire Department had trees on lines in the Imboden area and several towns experienced outages from the storm. No injuries were reported in the latest round of storms that hit Lawrence County.
