Shortly after 6 pm on Sunday, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a report of a pewter colored Chevy Tahoe in route to Lawrence County from Randolph County requesting medical assistance for 3 injured juveniles. Lawrence County Dispatchers sent Medic One to the Lawrence/Randolph County line on Hwy 67 to intercept the vehicle, reports stated that the 3 were injured in an ATV accident.
Once the vehicle was intercepted by medics, two medical helicopters were requested, Lawrence County Dispatch called for one helicopter from Air-Evac and a second from Hospital Wing. Two of the the three injured were transported to Lebonher Children Hospital in Memphis for treatment of their injuries, the third was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The identity of the minors and conditions have not been released at this time. Medical units were back in service shortly before 8 pm.
