Crews from the Arkansas Highway Department continue to plow the large amount of freezing rain and sleet that continues to fall in Lawrence County.

According to reports, Imboden, Black Rock and Ravenden have received the most of the winter weather. Around 2 pm, at least 3 trucks could be seen on Hwy 63 attempting to keep roads passable.

Lawrence County Deputies and Ravenden Police worked several accidents that resulted in at least 5 victims transported to local hospitals. Hwy 63 is passable but extremely ice covered. Secondary roads and gravel county roads are slick and dangerous as well. Numerous school closings have already been announced.
