MORNING FOR MUCH OF THE MID-SOUTH COMBINING WITH COLD ARCTIC AIR
TO PRODUCE WIND CHILLS BELOW ZERO.
…WIND CHILL ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST TUESDAY…

* WIND CHILL READINGS…BETWEEN ZERO AND FIVE BELOW ZERO.

* TIMING…TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS…UNPROTECTED SKIN COULD BE FROSTBITTEN WITH PROLONGED
EXPOSURE TO COLD WIND CHILLS…AND HYPOTHERMIA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS…MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HEAVY
JACKET…A HAT…AND GLOVES.

THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL…NORTH MISSISSIPPI…AND WEST TENNESSEE.

THE ARCTIC AIR MASS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE WIND CHILLS AROUND
OR BELOW ZERO ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT MUCH OF THE AREA ON TUESDAY
MORNING.

A WINTRY MIX IS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THURSDAY
MORNING. PORTIONS OF NORTH EASTERN ARKANSAS…THE MISSOURI
BOOTHEEL AND WEST TENNESSEE WILL SEE SNOW AND RAIN. MEANWHILE SOME
OF THE NORTHWEST COUNTIES IN MISSISSIPPI AND SOUTHEASTERN COUNTIES
OF ARKANSAS MAY SEE SOME FREEZING RAIN WHEN THE PRECIPITATION
STARTS WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. ALL ACCUMULATIONS OF
FROZEN PRECIPITATION WILL BE VERY LIGHT.
