The Bobbie Jean Memorial Library in Imboden now has a  new cataloging system for library patrons.

Patrons should feel free to ask  about the new text/e-mail notifications for placing books on reserve and how they can receive texts or emails when library materials are due.

The new system also has some amazing new features where patrons can access the library catalog from home, place titles on reserve, and browse the newest materials from the What’s Hot listing.

The main branch of the Lawrence County Library at Walnut Ridge and the Driftwood Library at Lynn also have the new catalog.

Branch librarian Laura Hubler would like to tell all library patrons to come in if they have any questions about the new system and she can assist you with that.

Congratulations to everyone who won prizes  at the 2013 Summer Reading Program .

The Big Reader this year was Xander Dixon, who was awarded the scooter, helmet, and knee pads for reading 420 books over a six week time period.

All the participants in the program read 2,656 books in that time span! Mrs. Laura looks forward to seeing everyone again next year at the Summer program.
