According to the Arkansas State Police, Philander Kirk Jr. was killed in a two vehicle accident today on Hwy 115 just outside Imboden.
According to the report, a 2003 Mercury Sable driven by Philander Kirk Jr., 18 years old of Pocahontas crossed the center line while traveling southbound on Hwy 115 and was struck by a 2007 UPS truck driven by Mitchell Baltz of Powhatan.
Road conditions were described as wet by Arkansas State Police CPL. Phillip Roark in his report.
A candle light vigil will be held tonight at 8:30 p.m. at the Pocahontas High School, Schoonover football field in memory of Philander Kirk.
