On May 11th, 2013, Lawrence County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy. 230 in Strawberry in reference to a stolen vehicle complaint.
Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim who stated that the suspect identified as Grant Larson had been at his residence working on a vehicle for another individual. The victim advised that the suspect had earlier used the victim’s pickup to retrieve parts. The victim then advised that when he arrived home his pickup was back at the residence but a 2004 ford mustang was gone.
The victim then entered his residence and noticed loose change was taken along with a 30 pack of beer and two firearms. The firearms taken were identified as a Taurus 38 cal revolver and a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun.
The victim called acquaintances to see if anyone had seen the mustang or the suspect. The victim was then told that the suspect and a female were at a different residence in Strawberry earlier in the day with the mustang. The suspect stated to the residence in Strawberry that they were “going back to Illinois”.

Deputies contacted the Geneseo Police Department in Illinois concerning the matter where they learned that the suspect, Grant Larson, showed to have several warrants. Deputies issued a BOLO (be on the look out) for the suspect and the stolen vehicle.
