On March 23, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bradley Calfas (27) of Ravenden for theft of property. The arrest stems from property owner reporting a cabin that was broken into back in January on County Road 140. Several items were taken including a chainsaw. A neighbor heard that Calfas had items for sale and went to see if any might be his neighbor’s property. The chainsaw was purchased from Calfas and taken to the original property owner. The property owner still had the paperwork and it was positively identified by the serial numbers. The information was reported to Lawrence County Investigators who then filed for a warrant for Calfas. Calfas was located and placed under arrest without incident. Calfas is currently in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
