On October 26, 2012 at about 9:30 pm the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Roger Dodd (61) and Dwain Dodd (59) both of Swifton on charges of possession of a controlled substance (meth ice), possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. The arrest stems from a traffic stop on Highway 63 near Hoxie. Deputies stopped the vehicle the Dodds where in for a traffic violation. The deputies noticed that when speaking with the Dodds that they appeared nervous and looked to be trying to hide something under the seat. Deputies asked the Dodds to step out of the vehicle to speak with them. Roger Dodd threw a glass pipe breaking it as he got out of the vehicle. The broken pipe was documented and recovered, it had meth in it. Deputies placed the Dodds under arrest and searched the vehicle. Inside the vehicle deputies found meth ice and several more glass pipes with meth. Deputies also found almost $4,500 in cash in the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
