An announcement today by the Arkansas Judicial Disciple Commission stated that it had dismissed a pending complaint against Judge Larry Hayes of Walnut Ridge. The complaint was filed in 2011 and the nature of the complaint was not revealed.

At the same time, Judge Hayes announced his retirement effective December 31st and has agreed not to seek future office as Judge. His retirement means the Governor will have to appoint someone to the vacancy.

In the Judge’s letter to Governor, Judge Hayes cited “personal reasons” as his reason for retirement, the Judge also ask the Governor to appoint a replacement.
