Kari Shanks, Manager of Wal-Mart in Walnut Ridge today donated two 60 Quart Coolers and 200 bottles of water to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team for upcoming training exercises in conjunction with the Pocahontas Fire Department and Sharp County Sheriff’s Department.

The training is scheduled Thursday through Sunday at the Black River in Pocahontas. Some 20 divers will participate along with another 10 support personnel.

Along with the Wal-Mart donation, Subway of Pocahontas has agreed to provide lunch for the 3 days, Days Inn in Pocahontas is providing rooms for the instructors that are coming in from New York and Imboden Live  donated enough Gatorade mix for 24 gallons of Gatorade and 200 disposable cups.
