The Arkansas State Police was notified of an accident on Hwy 67, 1 mile south of Swifton at 12:20 pm on Saturday.
According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2007 Ford Expedition driven by Jerry Moore of Black Rock ran off the road, overcorrected lost control, spun across both lanes of traffic, flipping the vehicle, killing the driver and ejecting the passenger who was also pronounced dead. The passenger was identified as Donna Moore of Black Rock. Neither of the deceased victims were wearing their seatbelt according to Arkansas State Police reports.
Two minor children in the vehicle were wearing restraints, they were transported to Harris Hospital in Newport and The Med in Memphis for treatment. No word on the conditions of the minor passengers.
