Petrino Fired From U OF A Football Program
Five days after being placed on leave for lying about an inappropriate relationship with a female subordinate, Athletic Director Jeff Long has fired Head Coach Bobby Petrino.
After a 7:15 pm news conference, Long announce the firing. Rumors of the firing started late Tuesday afternoon as soon as the news conference was announced.
In the news conference, it was also announced that Petrino had also given the female, identified as Jessica Dorrell, 25 years old a sum of money totaling $20,000.00 . Dorrell was a passenger involved in the April 1st motorcycle wreck, Petrino lied to the University of Arkansas about her involvement and his relationship with the female.
Petrino has also been accused of deceiving and acting inappropriately in the hiring process of Jessica Dorrell.
