On March 13, 2012 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested William Lester (01/15/92) of Black Rock for commercial burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. The arrest stemmed from a break in at the Black Rock Assembly of God Church on or about March 10. Lawrence County deputies took the report and started an investigation. Lester became a person of interest and was contacted by deputies about coming in to talk about it. When Lester was questioned about the break in he admitted to kicking in the back door. Lester told deputies that he was drunk and looking for a place to sleep. Damage was done to the door of the Church. Lester was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
