A fundraiser to benefit the Walnut Ridge, Children’s Shelter will take place on Saturday August 27th at 11:00 am in the Family Life Center behind Westridge Church of Christ in Pocahontas. A $10 donation will get you into the Zumba class and the silent auction.
Zumba fitness instructors Misty Ross, Trina Swift, and Jessica Crow will be offering an exciting Zumba class for the cause from 11-12:30 as a team effort from Zumba Team 220#. After the Zumba portion of the event there will be door prizes and a Silent Auction.
Donations from local businesses in Imboden, Ravenden, Pocahontas, and Walnut Ridge provided the products and services for the silent auction. This is to help the Children’s Shelter keep it’s doors open and continue to provide care for area children in need.
Some of the items to be auctioned are certificates for massages, facials, purses, baskets, cakes, zumba classes, and gift certificates for local restaurants, and stores.
If you are unable to attend the event but would like to donate you will be placed in a special $25 drawing as a thank you. Donations are still be taken for the silent auction and businesses who would like to help the Children’s shelter can contact Misty if they wish to donate an item or service.
