At the regular meeting of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department on Monday, Imboden’s new Engine 2 was delivered and inspected by all the firemen in attendance.

Imboden Chief Chris Jones showed all the firemen the new truck and all it has to offer. Firemen loaded all their tools and hose on the new truck.

Firemen were also treated to a Chilli Supper prepared by Bob McMillon. While everyone was there, Sherri Sparks with the Lawrence County Dispatch Center was on hand to make new ID cards for the members. The new cards have a magnetic strip located on the back and when scanned tell the firefighters training level and also any medical conditions the firefighter may have. Asst. Chief Steve Jones explained how useful this will be in the event of a major incident involving multiple departments such as a Haz Mat scene or natural disaster.
