Captain Jody Dotson of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 25th deputies arrested Dareth Amber Hatcher of Alicia on charges of aggravated assault and domestic battery 2nd degree.
The arrest came after the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a 911 call about a stabbing at a residence near Alicia. Deputies responded to the residence and found the victim, Roger Darr in the front yard with a stab wound to his back. Darr was treated by AET Ambulance of Walnut Ridge. Darr told deputies they were having an argument when Hatcher struck him and stabbed him in the back as he was leaving.
Deputies found Hatcher inside the residence, where she was placed under arrest without incident. Deputies also recovered a knife believed to be the one used in the assault. Hatcher was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. At the bond hearing on September 27th, bond was set at $15000.00 and an October 12th Circuit Court date was issued.
