Shortly after 11am Monday August 30th the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was call to the White Medical Clinic in Imboden. The Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a call of a smoke smell in the building.

When firefighters arrived on scene the was no visible flames or smoke but a smell was present. Firemen quickly discovered the cause of the smell was a ballast in a light fixture that was going out. Firemen removed the fixture and checked the rest of the building before setting up a ventilation fan to remove the odor from the building.

There were no injuries and little damage to the building. The fire department was back in service shortly before noon.
