Saturday shortly after 7:00 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a cell phone reporting a vehicle fire on Hwy 62 outside of Imboden.

The cell call was dropped and the Dispatch Center was unable to get any more information on location or if it was an accident.

Imboden firemen were paged and responded with the Rescue 4 truck, they also requested AET Ambulance Service of Imboden to respond in case it was an accident. Firemen found the vehicle a half mile past Squirrel Road engulfed in flames in the engine compartment. IVFD used foam to contain the blaze, also Pocahontas Rural Fire Department was notified because the vehicle was in the PRFD district. No one was injured, the vehicle was not so lucky and sustained major damage. Imboden Volunteer Firemen were back in service at 7:56 pm.
