On Monday the 19th local kids from the Hippy Program met at the Ravenden City Park to learn more about community helpers and disaster preparedness. The 3-5 year olds toured a school bus, wrecker,  ambulance, police car, and fire trucks. Shane Dail of the Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department let each child help spray water from the fire hose which they all enjoyed. Lieutenant Buddy Williams of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department discussed disaster preparedness with the children and parents in the Ravenden Community Center after their snack . Mrs. Lyna Meeks passed out emergency preparedness bags to all the children who attended . Dail’s Wrecker Service , The Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department, Ravenden police chief Tim McComas, AET Ambulance, and the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department participated in the event.
