Shortly before 6 pm on Sunday evening, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting two camper trailers in the area of 1319 Lawrence 131 South on fire.
The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched, Imboden Rescue 3, Rescue 4 and Engine 6 responded along with several firefighters. Once on scene, firefighters discovered the gate was locked to the wooded property and had to cut the lock to gain entry.
The campers were lost to the fire, Imboden firefighters extinguished the the fire which had already moved into the woods. Firefighters did not know the cause of the fire, attempts were being made to reach the property owner. There were no injuries reported.
