FREE preparation of your tax returns, including free e-filing, will be offered to persons of ALL ages at an AARP Tax-Aide site in Imboden. AARP TaxAide is the nation’s largest, free, volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service. Our free service can prepare tax returns and e-file them for most middle and low-income taxpayers of any age, with special attention to those age 60 and older.
The AARP TaxAide site will be at Koinonia Christian Fellowship located 1 mile west of Imboden on Hwy 412, at the Cedar Glade Camp entrance. Volunteers manning the site, Carolyn Loghry, Gena Stout , Karna McFadden, Melissa Pinto and Julie Morgan will offer help each Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm starting Feb 2nd and ending April 13th. You are welcome to make an appointment by calling Julie Morgan at 870-878-1239. There will be some evening appointments taken during February.
With the help of more than 32,000 volunteers, the AARP TaxAide program provides free tax preparation and assistance services to over 2 million low- and middle-income taxpayers. Electronic filing is offered, free of charge, by the program. The program’s funding sources include the US Internal Revenue Service, AARP, and private contributions. Koinonia Christian Fellowship is the local sponsor, providing the building use and volunteers free of charge.
