On April 29, 2025, the Corning Police Department, in conjunction with the Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Probation and Parole, conducted a series of probation searches within the City of Corning. As a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation, two arrests were made during one of the searches. Rebecca Fields, 41, and Kris Heinrich, 43, were taken into custody and charged with § 5-64-419, Possession of a controlled substance Schedule 1 methamphetamine less than 2 grams, and § 5-64-443, Possession of drug paraphernalia, both Class D Felonies. Clay County District Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause to charge both individuals with the aforementioned offenses. Judge Stidham set bond for Mrs. Fields at $25,000 cash or surety and Mr. Heinrich at $10,000 cash or surety. The Corning Police Department extends its gratitude to the Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Probation and Parole for their invaluable assistance.
