A Second Judicial Circuit Judge sentenced a Rector man to 20 years in prison on Monday after he pled guilty to possessing child sexual abuse materials.

Judge Thyer ordered Joseph Parrish, age 37, to serve 240 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections along with 120 months suspended imposition of sentence according to court documents.

Parrish was also ordered to pay all court costs and fees and register as a sex offender upon his release from the ADC.

Parrish was arrested during an undercover investigation conducted by the Arkansas State Police and Clay County Sheriff’s Department into online peer-to-peer file-sharing.
