Authorities report a 51-year-old Hardy man has been arrested and charged with three counts of terroristic threatening (Felony) and three counts of aggravated assault (Felony) in Sharp County.

Daniel Lewis Collins age 51 of Hardy was charged after two separate incidents involving property disputes with neighbors on Firetower Road.

According to Sharp County Investigators, the first incident occurred on Sept. 6th when Collins confronted property owners and a family member while they were cleaning a fence line. Collins claimed ownership of the property and, during a heated argument, returned to his vehicle, placed a gun on his hip, and reportedly made eye contact with one of the property owners in an intimidating manner.

The second incident occurred on Sept. 15th when Collins made death threats against the same neighbors while at a shop on Firetower Road, according to witnesses.

Collins was arrested and given a $100,000 bond on Sept. 16th.
