A tip leads authorities to nearly three pounds of meth on a traffic stop.
Authorities received a tip of a black Ford Mustang with damage to both the front end and windshield area, the tip stated the vehicle would be coming through the Cave City area with illegal narcotics.
Officers with the Third Judicial Drug Task Force notified Cave City Police Department and began searching the area for the vehicle.
Just after 8 p.m, law enforcement spotted the vehicle on Main Street and conducted a traffic stop.
A K-9 was brought to the scene and alerted on the vehicle.
The occupants identified as McCabe West and Melissa Blaskiewicz.
Authorities report 1,279 grams of methamphetamine was confiscated.
West and Blaskiewicz were charged with felony trafficking of a controlled substance, a class Y felony.
