Elizabeth Elvira Lacy, 89 of Walnut Ridge, passed away April 28, 2025, in the Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. 

Born November 8, 1935, in Jonesboro; daughter of the late James Finch Sr. and Whitfield Gaither Finch. Elizabeth was united in marriage to the late Leroy Lacy on June 3, 1987. She was a retired Kindergarten Teacher having taught at Sulphur Rock and Hoxie Elementary Schools. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. She enjoyed her exercising group of ladies, being outdoors, gardening, and flowers. 

Survivors include her son, Curtis (Judy) Goodwin of Walnut Ridge; and Cindy (Dale) Lance of Wellsville, KS; two grandchildren, Chad and Cortney Goodwin; two great grandchildren, Whitney and Bethany; a brother, A.D. Finch of Walnut Ridge; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Jake Guenrich officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Gaither, J.R. Cox, Jeff Rider, Tony Conley, Phillip Midkiff, and Adam Staple. Honorary Pallbearers are Lee Turnbull, Tom Sloan, Gary Kearby, and Randy Clements.

Visitation will from 12 P.M. till 2 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
