An internal investigation by the Pocahontas Police Department, Arkansas State Police and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force from the Jonesboro Police Department conducted an investigation that began in late June 2024 involving Pocahontas PD Officer Arthur Cocherell.
On September 19th the Pocahontas Police Department issued a warrant for Cocherell’s arrest for possession, distribution, and/or viewing child sexual abuse material.
On Monday, September 23rd, Cocherell turned himself in, bond was set at $25,000.
Cocherell has been terminated from his position with the Pocahontas Police Department.
