Lake Charles State Park will host a Great Arkansas Cleanup event on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the park, 3705 Highway 25,Powhatan. The event is free and open to the public. Volunteers will meet at the Visitor Center.

 

The event is part of the Great Arkansas Cleanup, an annual statewide program co-sponsored and presented by Keep Arkansas Beautiful. Supplies will be provided. Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes and bring drinking water. T-shirts will be provided to participants while supplies last.

 

2023 is Arkansas State Parks Centennial Year. Hours volunteered at this event will count toward the Arkansas State Parks “100 Hours of Centennial Service” program and help qualify participants for prizes.
