Thank you to the Community Heath Education Foundation of Jonesboro for donating to the Randolph County Sheriffs Office an Automatic External Defibrillator and helping us purchase three more at a huge discounted price. These AEDs will be carried in patrol deputies vehicles. We currently have AEDs in the jail and courtrooms which were purchased with grant money. Now we are expanding that program to the patrol vehicles with their help.
This is vitally important in our rural area when healthcare could be several minutes away. We hope to never need them but will now have them in place if the need arises. Deputies and staff will be trained to use these along with CPR and other emergency medical techniques.
