Monday’s snowfall left many travelers delayed and multiple power outages overnight In Northeast Arkansas.
ArDot worked throughout the night clearing roadways across multiple counties in Northeast Arkansas.
As the snow began to pile up, power lines began to sag causing numerous power outages across the area.
In Lawrence County, heavy snowfall caused several accidents on Hwy 115 outside Imboden after several vehicles blocked traffic. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies closed Hwy 115 at on point until wreckage could be cleared.
Hwy 63 north of Ravenden also saw its share of stalled out and wrecked vehicles. Arkansas State Police, Ravenden Police and Dail’s Wrecker Service worked until the early morning hours attempting to clear the wrecks.
Dozens of accidents and downed power lines were reported during the winter storm that passed through the area.
Travel warnings were issued throughout Tuesday evening and into the night as road conditions deteriorated.
