The Greene County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on a death investigation that began over the weekend.
On Saturday, September 5, 2020 at approximately 4:55 p.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to Lee Street in Oak Grove due to the discovery of possible human remains.
A Deputy arrived on scene and was led to a small over grown area behind a residence. The Deputy was able to determine that the remains did appear to be human. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division, along with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division, arrived on scene and began the investigation. The Greene County Coroner’s Office removed the remains, which have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
